Bad Sons/Daughters Beware!!

Kudos to Govt.of India for passing a law to ensure senior citizens are not left at their children’s mercy.

You do not need to search intensively to find a old parent who is left out in despair by covetous son/daughter.

There used to be a man(people call him a beggar) who used to come to my house ,clad in worn cloths, with an unshaved face. He was of Tamil origin. He used to call in once in two months or twice. He was not at all talkative but his eyes were. Those deep eyes carried the story of all the mysteries of his life... Whenever he visits my home we used to give him a meal plus some (meager amount of)money and some cloths if he asks for. After a few visits he became more friendly and used to tell us about his family his daughter etc. As we expected he was left out by his son. He had one daughter also on whose marriage he spent all his accumulated wealth.I was surprised to hear that he visits her daughter once in 3-4 months and spends the money he earned through begging to buy gifts to her. His eyes used to sparkle while talking about his daughter. My eyes used to fill with tears when I see this man walking back along my courtyard,bathing in hot sun, holding a wooden (walking ?)stick tightly in his trembling hands..

Each time when he leaves my house I used to pray 'Oh god please make him come back in two/three months' . It is foolish to believe that God will grant all your wishes!!!.. is it n't ?
